Terms of Service

Last updated: April 29, 2026

The short version

Menumo is an early-stage product in pilot. By creating an account and using Menumo, you agree to these terms. We will keep the service running, treat your data responsibly, and try not to surprise you. In return, you agree to use the product reasonably and not abuse it. If anything is unclear, email kai@menumo.net.

Who we are

“Menumo”, “we”, and “us” refer to Menumo, an early-stage software product. “You” refers to the person or business using the service.

Pilot status

Menumo is currently in pilot. That means:

  • Some features are labeled Beta or use sample data; we tell you when that is the case.
  • We may change, add, or remove features without notice while we learn what works.
  • Service availability is best-effort. We do not currently offer a formal uptime SLA.

When we exit pilot, we will update these terms and let you know.

Your account

  • You need a valid email and a Menumo account (created via Clerk) to use the service.
  • You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials safe. Tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized access.
  • You must be at least 18 years old or have legal capacity to enter this agreement on behalf of your business.
  • One person should not share an account with the public. Team accounts and multi-user features will arrive after pilot.

Your data

Your business data belongs to you. We use it to run Menumo and generate the insights you request, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can export your data or ask us to delete it at any time by emailing kai@menumo.net.

AI outputs are advisory

Menumo uses AI (provided by Anthropic) to generate suggestions — pricing recommendations, menu insights, marketing copy, demand forecasts. These outputs are advisory. They are not financial, tax, legal, or business advice, and they may be wrong. You are responsible for the decisions you make with them. If something looks wrong, do not act on it without checking.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Menumo for anything illegal, fraudulent, or that infringes on someone else’s rights.
  • Try to break the service, reverse-engineer it, scrape it, or probe it for vulnerabilities outside a coordinated security disclosure.
  • Upload data you do not have the right to share — including other people’s personal information.
  • Use the AI features to generate content that harasses, deceives, or harms third parties.

We can suspend or close accounts that abuse the service.

Pricing and billing

The published prices on the pricing page apply once self-serve billing ships. During pilot, billing is handled manually — we will email you to confirm a price before charging anything. AI credits beyond your plan are billed weekly at the rate posted on the pricing page.

Cancellation

You can cancel any time by emailing kai@menumo.net. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; we do not prorate cancellations. We will not bill you again after you cancel.

Service changes and termination

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of Menumo. If we discontinue the service entirely, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export your data. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms.

Warranties and liability

Menumo is provided as is and as available. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of Menumo is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred U.S. dollars, whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including lost profits or lost data — except where the law does not allow us to disclaim those.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is material, we will notify you in-app or by email before it takes effect. Continued use after the change means you accept the updated terms.
